TEFL Interviews 56: Diane Larsen-Freeman on Complexity

Welcome back to The TEFLology Podcast – a podcast all about teaching English as a foreign language, and related matters.

We are delighted to bring you an interview with Diane Larsen-Freeman. Diane is currently a Professor Emerita in Education and in Linguistics at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Diane concentrates her research on the process of second language acquisition. She has found that complexity theory provides new insights into language, its acquisition, and its use. A book of papers in her honor, Complexity Theory and Language Development, was published in 2017.

In today’s interview, Matt asks questions to Diane about Complex Dynamic Systems, as well as related topics.
